Finding God's Voice in a Noisy World

In a world that seems to grow louder every day, with the constant buzz of technology, social media, and the distractions of modern life, it can be challenging to hear the voice of God. As we navigate through the bright lights, smartphones, internet, artificial intelligence, and the myriad of choices available to us, it's crucial to pause and consider the source of our satisfaction.

These advancements are not inherently bad and have, in fact, saved countless lives, they can also be misused, leading to the cost of lives and relationships. Our world is indeed loud, and in this cacophony, we need to be intentional about finding God's voice.

There is a choice between drawing from the Tree of Life or the Tree of Good and Evil. It's a difficult choice, but the good news lies in the Gospels. Jesus came to teach us how to love one another and God, making it easier for us to love ourselves. Moreover, he showed us how to die to self, atoning for our sins and cleaning the muddy waters of our lives. No longer are we barred from the Holy of Holies; through Christ's sacrifice, the way is open for all. We now have direct access to God, a powerful reminder of the good news we carry.

In this life, Jesus didn't leave us alone but left the Holy Spirit, the embodiment of love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, and self-control. This Spirit resides within each of us, an untapped reservoir of the Tree of Life.

In the midst of our busy lives, the challenge is to learn to quiet the noise. To learn this, begin by dedicating the first 10 minutes of each day to God—our first fruits. This may involve stillness, prayer, reading the Bible, or interceding for others. By doing so, we create a sacred space before the noise of the world creeps in, stealing our joy and peace.

Let's embark on this journey together. Let's see what happens when we put God first in our lives. Perhaps, in doing so, we'll find a deeper connection with the source of true satisfaction and peace.

May God's voice be the guiding melody in the midst of life's noise.
